If your subliminal download won't open, first check the file type. A ZIP archive holds the audio files; it needs to be extracted before a music player can use the MP3s inside.
Check that the download finished
Open your browser's download list. If the file is still downloading, paused or marked as failed, wait or resume it before trying to extract it. Keep enough free storage for both the ZIP and its extracted contents.
If you downloaded several copies, use the completed copy. Renaming an unfinished file to end in .zip won't repair it.
Extract the archive on your device
On iPhone or iPad, open the ZIP in Files. On Android, a file manager with ZIP support can extract it. Our iPhone instructions and Android instructions explain where to find the download and how to open the audio.
Once extracted, open an MP3 from the resulting folder. If the ZIP opens but the audio won't play, try a player that supports local MP3 files. That separates an archive problem from a playback problem.
If extraction still fails
Note the exact error message. If the original download was interrupted, a fresh completed download may be needed. Avoid repeated attempts if the page shows a download-limit message.
